Terrace decoration project with 3 types of slate
Published: Terrace & Garden // Published 03.12.2018
Slate is popular because of its warm colors and fascinating shades: cream, ochre, green, gray or black-bluish. Since being a non-porous surface material, it will not absorb water or liquids and will not stain easily, thus making it suitable in heavy traffic areas. Another essential feature of slate is the slip-resistance, which makes is perfect for flooring. Here are 3 types of slate recommended for cladding terraces.
Silver Brushed Slate

Silver slate with silver accents, is a brushed finish tile, conveying a distinctive and modern look to your terrace. As a metamorphic rock with layered appearance, each tile will have its own identity (in shades or visible layers), so that slate decoration projects will develop a very distinct look.

This tile is available in warmer shades: from ochre to dark brown, silver or black-bluish, such a slate conveys an outstanding touch, for creating a pleasant ambience.
Black Anthracite Slate

This is the type of slate able to generate an amazing effect: on one hand, this is a material ideal for daring decoration projects, because it breaks away with the comfortable pattern of warm shades and on the other hand it is a practical solution for flooring: tile with semi-porous and processed surface.
Important: for binding natural stone tiles we recommend a heat-resistant adhesive for being able to withstand successfully against freeze-thaw cycles.
